Council of scientific and industrial research CSIR, human Resource development Group HRDG, published the official notification for UGC Net examination and JRF test. A National Level Joint CSIR UGC Test for Junior Research Fellowship and eligibility for lectureship will be held on 15 December 2020. CSIR-UGC National Eligibility test (NET) for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) & Eligibility Test for Lectureship/Assistant Professorship will be conducted through National Testing Agency (NTA) in Computer Based Test (CBT) Mode

CSIR HRDG will conduct NET examination for determining the eligibility of the lectureship and for the award of junior research fellowship JRF. This examination will be held for science subject and all those candidates who will be declared qualified in this examination will depend on their finding admission/placement in a university/ national laboratory/ institution of higher learning and research, as applicable.
Subject for which CSIR will conduct NET and JRF examination:
Chemical Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences
Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Engineering Sciences
Eligibility Criteria:
Education qualification for NET pariksha: BS-4 years /BE / B.Tech / B. Pharma / MBBS / Integrated BS-MS / M.Sc with at least 55% marks .
Reserved category candidates will get relaxation in minimum percentage.
Age limit as on 1 July 2020: maximum age for JRF NET is 28 year and there is no maximum age limit for LS NET
Selection Procedure: each candidates are required to give there choice for NET or JRF.
CSIR may think applicant for ‘JRF’, or ‘Lectureship only” depending on number of fellowships offered & performance in the test subject to the condition that they fulfill the laid down eligibility criterion.
If candidates are Over AGE for JRF then they will be eligible for NET, because there is no age limit for NET.
CSIR will prepare two category of the merit; first merit list will be related for all those applicants who will be declared qualified for JRF and 2nd merit list will be for those candidates who will be declared qualified for NET examination.
Candidates qualifying for JRF (NET), will also be eligible for Lectureship (NET) Subject.
Candidates qualifying for Lectureship will be eligible for recruitment as Lecturers as well as for JRF-ship in a Scheme.
These CSIR UGC NET Exam December 2020, Cutoff List and Merit list and results will be published in the month of 31 December 2020.
Question Paper pattern for CSIR LS NET And JRF NET as are follows
CSIR will conduct a national level test with University grant commission UGC for 5 science and engineering subjects. This CSIR LS net and JRF Net examination will be held on 15 December 2020 at various examination centers all over India. Written examination will be held for following subjects: Life Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Engineering Sciences.
Written Test will carry 200 marks. NETLS, NETJRF exam will be held in two sessions.
First session examination timing is 9 am to 12 noon and 2nd shift timing is 2 pm to 5 pm.
Total 3 hour Time Duration will be given for attempting the question paper.
All question of the written examination will be objective type and MCQ based.
The actual number of questions in each part and section to be asked & attempted may vary from subject to subject.
Minus marking / negative marking will be applicable in this examination so be careful before marking the answer in OMR SHEET.
Question paper medium will be Hindi and English language.
Question Paper of NET Examination will be divided in 3 Parts.
Part ‘A’: 1st section of CSIR NET Examination will be equal for all candidates for all subject. This part shall be a test containing a maximum of 20 questions. The candidates shall be required to answer any 15 questions of two marks each. The total marks allocated to this section shall be 30 out of 200. Question of part A will be related from General Aptitude with emphasis on logical reasoning, graphical analysis, analytical and numerical ability, quantitative comparison, series formation, puzzles etc.
In Engineering Sciences, Part ‘B’ shall comprise questions from Math and Engineering Aptitude & Part ‘C’ shall contain subject related multiple choice questions.
And for other disciplines:
Part 'B' shall contain subject-related conventional Multiple Choice questions (MCQs), generally covering the topics given in the syllabus.
The total marks allocated to this section shall be 70 out of 200. The maximum number of questions to be attempted shall be in the range of 20-35.
Part 'C' shall contain higher value questions that may test the candidate's knowledge of scientific concepts and/or application of the scientific concepts. The questions shall be of analytical nature where a candidate is expected to apply the scientific knowledge to arrive at the solution to the given scientific problem.
The total marks allocated to this section shall be 100 out of 200.

JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP STIPEND
The stipend of a JRF selected through CSIR-UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) will be Rs.25,000/ p.m. for the first two years. In addition, annual contingent grant of Rs.20,000/- per fellow will be provided to the University / Institution. The Fellowship will be governed by terms and conditions of CSIR, UGC or Research Scheme, as applicable.
How to apply: all interested candidates can fill application form online for CSIR NET Examination. Each candidate may fill application form either for junior research fellowship or for lectureship LS only. Candidate are required to submit the prefer online for LS or JRF only. Interested & eligible candidates may apply Online through a link available at CSIR, HRDG website: www.csirhrdg.res.in.
Candidates after successfully submitting application online are required to take print out of the Application Form, paste his/her recent black & white photograph, put his/her signature at the required space, attach requisite certificates and send along with CSIR marked copy of fee deposited Bank Challan in an envelope super scribed with Subject Code, Centre Code & Medium Code to

Application Form fee CSIR NET Examination December 2020: rs 1000 for General category , rs 500 for OBC category and rs 250 for, SC, ST, PH, VH candidate.

ReplyDeleteFor Humanities (Art Stream) NET Exam is conducted by UGC. It is called UGC-NET Exam. It is also conducted twice in a year. CSIR NET is for science and engineering subjects.
