West Bengal public service commission
WBPSC now going to publish the official notification No for West Bengal Judicial
Service Examination 2022. Paschim Bengal Lok Sewa Ayog will conduct a state
level written examination for Judicial service Civil Judge Junior Division. Selection
of the eligible candidates will be done through the pre exam, mains exam and
personal interview test. There are total
no of tentative vacancies are approximately 50 posts including various categories. Important recruitment details as are

Eligibility Criteria: Education qualification: graduation
degree in LAW and
Enrolment as an
advocate in the roll of Bar Council and ability
to read, write and speak in Bengali (not required in the
case of Nepali speaking candidates of the three Hill Sub-divisions of
Darjeeling District, viz., Darjeeling Sadar, Kalimpong and Kurseong).
Age limit; minimum 23 year and maximum 35 year as on July
No of attempt: maximum 3 chance will be allowed for other
than belonging SC / ST/ and BC candidates from west bengal WB.
Selection procedure: WBPSC will conduct a state level
written examination for Civil Judge posts. First of all a preliminary examination
will be held for scrutiny purpose. Preliminary
Examination will be held in Kolkata and Darjeeling
in September 2022. After that all those candidates
who will be declared qualified in the pre exam they will be call for mains examination.
in the last all those candidates who will be declared qualified in the Pre and
mains examination they will be call for personal interview test. Mains examination will be held at kolkata
centre only. Main examination tentatively held in the month of December 2022
Question Paper Pattern and Syllabus
Preliminary Examination:
Pre test of WBPSC judicial services will be objective type. Judicial
service pre test will contains 200 MCQ type Question which will carry total 200
marks. Total 150 minutes will be given for attempting the question paper. Difficulty
of question paper will be Graduation level of LAW.

Question Paper pattern for Mains examination
Final examination of WB PSC judicial services will comprise 8
compulsory question and 3 optional subject question paper. Each question paper will carry 100 marks and
3 hour time duration will be given for attempting the question of Final examination. Question paper medium will be English or
Bengali language.

1. English Composition, essay, précis writing ;
2. Bengali/Hindi/Urdu/Nepali composition, essay and
translation from English into Bengali/Hindi/Urdu /Nepali ;
3. General Knowledge and Current Affairs ;
4. Civil procedure Code ;
5. Criminal Procedure Code and Indian Penal Code ;
6. Indian Evidence Act ;
7. Law of Contracts and Torts and
8. Transfer of Property Act.
Optional Papers (any three to be chosen) :
1. Hindu Law ;
2. Muhammadan Law ;
3. Jurisprudence and principles of legislation ;
4. Indian Law relating to Companies and Insurance ;
5. Principles of Equity including the Law of Trusts and
Specific Relief
6. Partnership Act ;
7. Law of Limitation and Law of Prescription ;
8. The Indian Constitution and Constitutional Law.
Personality Test: personal interview test will carry total
100 marks.
Cutoff marks: WBPSC now mentioned any informed regarding the
minimum qualifying marks / passing marks for Pre and mains examination of
personal interview test. However commission
will publish Cutoff marks aggregately category wise.
Minus marking : negative marking will be applicable in this examination
and 10% of full marks will be deducted for wrong answer.

How to apply: all candidates are required to fill application
form online only. No paper application form will be accepted for WB Judicial
services. All interested eligible Candidates have to first go for “One Time
Registration” (link available on top of the left panel in home page of the
website www.pscwbonline.gov.in) and fill up all the required data and uploading
scanned photo and signature to get User ID and Password. The process of one
time registration is mentioned in details in right panel of the home page of
the website www.pscwbonline.gov.in
Application form Fee: rs 210. And there is no application form
fee for SC / ST and PWD candidates. Interested candidates can deposit application
form fee online as well as offline. If you are interested in paying offline
form fee then you can use UBI bank Challan form. You can also deposit application form fee via
using your credit card, debit card, and net banking.
