Himachal pradesh public service commission HPPSC published
the official recruitment Advertisement No. 5/2015. Dated: 18.11.2015 for inviting
online application form for state eligibility Test SET 2016. All candidates who
hold the eligibility criteria for Rajya patrata pariksha they can fill application
form online at the official website of Himachal pradesh lok sewa ayog. Last date
of application form submission is 17 December 2015. NET /SET/ is one of the essential qualifications
for those what apply for Assistant professor. SET examination held every year
in the month of May and June. SET examination will be held for determining the
eligibility for the recruitment to the posts of assistant professor in universities
and college locates with the state of HP. HPPSC now conducting SET examination 19
Different subjects. Written examination will be held at Shimla, Solan, Mandi
and Kangra. Important details of HPPSC SET examination as are following

Sciences, Commerce, Economics, Geography, Hindi, History, and Mathematical
Sciences,Music, Physical Sciences, Physical Education, Sociology, Sanskrit,

Eligibility Criteria for SET : there is no maximum age limit
for filling application form for SET test.
Education qualification: Post graduation with above mentioned
any subject with at least 55% marks . or equivalent examination from
Universities/institutions recognized by UGC in Humanities
(including
languages) and Social Sciences, Computer Science &
Applications,
Electronic Science etc. are eligible for this Test. Minimum qualifying
marks for SC ,S T and PWD candidates will be 50%.
Appearing candidates in final year can also fill application
form for SET examination.
Candidates are advised to appear in the subject of their post
graduation only.
Question paper pattern and Syllabus of SET examination
SET examination will be comprise 3 question paper . all
question of the written examination will be objective type and MCQ based. Written examination will be held in may /June
2016

Syllabus of the written examination
Paper-I shall be of general nature, intended to assess the
teaching/ research aptitude of the candidate. Question paper contains question
from reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness.
Sixty (60) multiple choice questions of two
marks each will be given, out of which the candidate would
be required to answer any fifty (50). In the event of the candidate attempting
more than fifty questions, the first fifty questions attempted by the candidate
would be evaluated.
Paper-II questions based on the subject selected by the
candidate. Each question will carry 2 marks.
Paper-III questions from the subject selected by the
candidate. Each question will carry 2 marks. All questions of Paper-II and
Paper-III will be compulsory, covering entire
syllabus

Step II: Amongst those candidates who have cleared step I, a
merit list will be prepared subject-wise and category-wise using the aggregate
marks of all the three papers secured by such candidates.
Step III: Top 15% candidates (for each subject and
category), from the merit list mentioned under step II, will be declared SET
qualified for recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor(s).
