In state of uttar pradesh and all other state D.el.ed or BTC is one of the compulsory qualifications for the appointment of primary level teachers. Only diploma in elementary education qualification candidates can appear in teacher recruitment, state TET, UPTET and other CTET Examination. D.el.Ed is now also compulsory for all teachers who are teaching in class 1st to class 5th level.  Without qualifying D.el.ed diploma program now you won’t be eligible for teaching.
