Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti NVS, Ministry of Human Resource Development Department of School Education & Literacy, conducted a national level entrance examination (नवोदय विद्यालय प्रवेश परीक्षा) on  11 August 2022 at various examination center of all over India. JNVST NVS exam is conducted for the admission class 6th and 9th level. Admission in jawaharlal Navodaya School for admission in session 2022 – 2023 will be done through the navodaya school entrance exam. Only those students who will be declared qualified in the results of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) they will get an opportunity for studying in JNVS.

JNV Selection Test 2022 was held in 21 prescribed Indian language of different states.  Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti.  Admissions in JNV are made through the JAWAHAR NAVODAYA VIDYALAYA SELECTION TEST (JNVST) at Class VI.

Total 598 schools are current working in different district of all over India. 

Benefit and feature of jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya

Currently the JNV School are located in 27 States and 7 Union Territories of India.  These JNV are co educational residential school fully financed and administered by Government of India through an autonomous organization. Medium of the teaching in these is mother tongue or regional language up to class 8th and English medium after class 8th . These schools are affiliated with the CBSE board.

Fee of JNV: education fee in the schools is free including boarding, lodging, uniforms and textbooks, a nominal fee of Rs.600/- per month will have to be paid by the children from IX to XII class. However, children belonging to SC/ST, Girls and Physically Handicapped and from the families whose income is below poverty line are exempted from payment of fees.

National level written examination of JNVST was held on   August  2022 at different state from 11:30 Am. This these will be also in April In state of Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim ,Jammu and Kashmir ,  Leh, Kargil of J&K State  , Lahaul & Spiti of Himachal Pradesh State etc.

More then 10 lakh students of class 5th appeared on the entrance examination which was held on 11 August 2022 in the State of Andhra  Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, West Bengal (except Darjeeling, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh (except Chamba, Kinnaur, Mandi, Sirmour, Kullu, Lahaul & Spiti and Shimla Districts), Jharkhand, Kerala, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Orissa, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tripura, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Arunachal Pradesh (except Tawang District), Union Territories of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Chandigarh, Dadar & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, Lakshadweep and Puducherry .

Admission process: all students who will be declared qualified in the JNVST they will be call for admission counselling. Admission will be only done in those schools, for which they filled application of concerned district. Only the candidates from the district concerned where the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya has been opened are eligible to apply for admission.

At least 75% of the seats in a district will be filled by candidates selected from rural areas and remaining seats will be filled from the urban areas of the district.

National level Jawahar navodaya entrance examination was held on  11 August 2022  at various examination center of all over India. Entrance exam will carry total 100 marks. Total 2 hours time duration was given for attempting the question paper. All question of the written examination was objective type and MCQ based.  Question paper contains 100 objective questions which will carry 100 marks. each question paper will carry 1 marks.

 Hard copies of the result are already dispatched by CBSE to respective JNVs directly. Preparation for the admission may be started with the data uploaded in the website but admission is to be confirmed as per the signed hard copy sent by CBSE.

You are requested to make arrangement to verify the list of selected candidates with reference to the information in respective original applications at JNV level and then to inform the parents of the selected candidates.

The above selection is provisional subject to the verification of the documents and no one can claim for admission on the basis of this selection list.

The entire admission process should be completed by  August  2022 and the consolidated vacancy position with supported documents should be handed over to the ROs by JNVs on or before September 2022

Regional Offices should consolidate the vacancy position for the entire region and submit with relevant documents as per the existing procedure to NVS(Hqrs.) through the dealing assistant in the Regional Office on or before  August  2022

Further it is informed that JNVs/ROs should not contact CBS directly for release of wait list. All the correspondences are to be made in the following sequence:

Result of JNVST conducted on  April 2022 will be declared separately.
