KERALA Government has published a notification with Recruitment number: for recruiting
the vacancies for KJSE- 2022 (KERALA JUDICIAL SERVICE EXAMINATION -2022 for
the name of post of Munsiff- Magistrate in the Kerala Judicial Service. Total
no. of vacancy are 35 for high court (HCK) recruitment having pay scale or
salary of Rs 27700 – 44770/-candidates must have a degree in law as a
educational qualification for both type of selection processes that is for
Direct Recruitment as well as for Recruitment by Transfer. Candidates who are
eligible they will face preliminary exam, main exam and Interview/ viva-voce

Name of the Post and No. of Vacancies for Kerala Judicial
Service: Kerala Judicial Service has announced this vacancy for the post of
Munsiff-Magistrate and the
total no. of vacancies is 35 (Tentative).
Eligibility Criteria for the Post of Munsiff-Magistrate of High court:
Age limit should be according to the date 1st January 2022,
Maximum age 34 years is allowed for KJS Exam for direct recruitment where as
there will be no age limit for those candidates who, are opting for recruitment
by transfer method.
Educational Qualification for both type of Recruitment KJSE
HC:
Candidates must have a degree in law
Salary: Pay Scale of the Rs 27700 - 44770/-
Training- during training pay scale will be of Rs 27700/-.
Selection/ Recruitment Procedure for JSE of HC Kerala: For
recruiting these vacancies Kerala (State) Government has notified two methods,
which are Direct Recruitment and Recruitment by Transfer for this candidates
will face two successive exams and training given below
Kerala Judicial Service (Preliminary) Examination- Written
exam
Kerala Judicial Service (Main) Examination- written test of
4 question paper of 400 marks and Interview/ Viva for 50 marks.
Question- Paper Pattern and Type for Preliminary Exam: for Each correct answer 2 marks will be
awarded and one marks will be deducted as a negative marking for each wrong
answer.
Total marks – 200, Total no. of questions -100, Type of the
question paper- Multiple Choice question (MCQ), Total time for the preliminary
exam – two and half hours.

Question- Paper Pattern and Type for Kerala Judicial Service
(Main) Examination:
Kerala Judicial Service (Main) Exam will contain two
processes, 1st one is based on written exam of four question paper, each of 100
marks, so total marks will be 400
And 2nd one will be viva- voce/ Interview of 50 marks. Total
time for each question paper will be- three hour.
Syllabus for the Mains Exam-
Paper 1st - English Grammar, General Essays, Translation of
Malayalam
Depositions/Documents to English and vice-versa, Précis
writing.
Paper 2nd –
Part A- Indian Contract Act, Transfer of Property Act,
Limitation Act, SpecificRelief Act, Easements Act, Kerala Building (Lease and Rent
Control) Act,Hindu Succession Act, Indian Succession Act, Dissolution of
Muslim Marriage Act.
Part B- Kerala Court Fees and Suits Valuation Act, Kerala
Stamp Act, Kerala State Legal Services Authorities Act, The Kerala Panchayat
Raj Act, Kerala Municipality act, Negotiable Instruments Act, and Registration
Act.
Paper 3rd –
Part A- Indian Penal Code, Indian Evidence Act, Abkari Act,
Negotiable Instruments Act, The Protection of Women from Domestic Violence
Act.
Part-B: Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children)
Act, Kerala Police Act, Probation of Offenders Act, Forest Act, N.D.P.S. Act
(provisions relating to bail and trial by Magistrates)
Paper 4rth –
Part A- Code of Civil Procedure, Civil Rules of Practice,
Kerala Civil Courts Act, Order in Interlocutory Application/ Framing of
issues/ Judgrnent writing (Civil)
Part B- Code of Criminal Procedure, Criminal Rules of
Practice, Framing of charges/Order in Criminal Miscellaneous Petitions/ Judgment
writing (Criminal).
Minimum Qualifying Marks for Preliminary, Main and Viva-Voce
Examination of HCK Recruitment:
40 % for general and
OBC candidates.
How to Apply for KJSE (Kerala Judicial Service Exams) HCK
(the High Court OF Kerala):
Candidates can fill this online application form only by
clicking on RECRUITMENT OF MUNSIFF-MAGISTRATE which will be available on the
website of Kerala Judicial Service Exams having two parts - Step-I and Step-II.
Candidates can apply for more than one recruitment but
should not apply separately.
Candidates can pay the online application fee only through
Challan of SBI Bank.

Examination Fee and Mode of Payment for HCK Recruitment:
There will be no fee for SC/ST/unemployed Differentlyabled
candidates and Rs 1000/- is the fee for all other candidates. And candidates
can pay the application fee only through the branches of State Bank of India
(SBI) by downloading payment challan from the website of high court recruitment.
Admit Card/ Admission
Tickets: Candidates can download their Admission Tickets from the website of
KJS examination for both the exam that is preliminary and main. And also Call letters for the viva- voce of
selected candidates.
