West Bengal (Kolkata) Central School Service Commission (WBCSSC) has published a notification Advertisement vide No. 190/GA, dated: 10.02.2016 for conducting 1st State Level Selection Test (SLAT) for Recruitment of Assistant Teachers 2016 in Govt.  Aided / sponsored Secondary/ Higher Secondary Schools.  There are 18203 total vacancies for assistant teachers, in which 15947 seats are for Hons. or post graduates, 1237 seats are for work education and 1019 seats are for physical education.

Candidates can apply only for one subject of W.B. School Service Commission. Candidates can confirm Examination or Test Centre and can download their Admit card from the website of WBCSSC Commission (www.westbengalssc.com). Candidates can fill this application form only through online mode and can give exam only through offline mode. School Service Commission wants to recruit the post of Assistant Teachers for Secondary or Higher Secondary Schools and the total no. of seats are 18203, in which 15947 seats are for honors or post graduates, 1237 seats are for work education and 1019 seats are for physical education.

Eligibility Criteria for westbengalssc: Age limit should be according to the date 1st January 2016. All the candidates whose, age is  in between 20 years-40 years , they can apply for  State Level Selection Test (SLST), that is minimum age – 20 years and maximum age – 40 years.

Educational Qualification for the Post of WBCSSC’s Assistant Teachers:

Name of the Post	Educational Qualification
Assistant Teachers for the Posts of Honors Graduate/ Post Graduate	Candidates should be Honors Graduate/Post Graduate with at least 50% marks +  Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or B.A. Ed. /B.Sc.Ed
Assistant Teacher for the Posts of Work Education	Candidates should be Graduate with Post Graduate Basic Training or Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) with the subject Work Education. Candidates should have Graduate Degree or Diploma in Art and craft/ Diploma in Tailoring and needle work. Candidates should have Graduate Degree in Home Science or Agriculture or Graduate in Computer Science or Information Technology or Software systems. Candidates should be Graduate with Streams like Arts/Science/Commerce with Computer Science or Computer Application as a subject of at least 300 marks.
Assistant Teacher for the Posts of Physical Education	Candidates should have Bachelor Degree in Physical Education subject with 50% marks or B.P.Ed. Course / NCC ‘C’ Certificate.

 

Salary for WBSSC : Pay scale will be based on norms of west Bengal government.  

Recruitment /Selection Procedure for West Bengal SSC: Candidates selection process will be based on written exam, academic qualifications, professional qualification and personality test, Respective marks are given below

Written Examination (Objective Type) - 55 Marks

Academic qualification together with professional qualifications- 35 Marks

Personality Test- 10 Marks

Examination /Test Pattern for Written Exam: Question –paper will be based on (MCQ) multiple choice question contain 55 questions and  total timing /duration will be one hour or 60 minutes. There will be no negative marking and for every right answer candidates will get one marks, so the total marks will be 55.

Qualifying Marks for Written Test of WBCSSC:

Qualifying marks for General candidates – 22 Marks

Qualifying marks for SC/ST/ OBC/ PH (physically handicap) candidates – 19 Marks

Application / Examination Fee and Mode of Payment:   Except application fee there will be bank charge of Rs 5/- and candidates can pay the fee through the branch of Allahabad Bank which, is situated in West Bengal.

Rs 250/-for General and OBC-A /OBC-B categories candidates.

Rs 80/- for reserve categories candidates like SC/ST/ PH
