Recruitment of AN ASSISTANT COMMANDANT (Group ‘A’ Gazetted Officers)- 2020 for
various branches such as GENERAL DUTY (GD), GENERAL DUTY (GD PILOT) and SHORT
SERVICE PILOT (CPL) Administrated by MINISTRY OF DEFENSE . The advertisement of

Salary for CG recruitment: Pay Band-3, Pay scale of
Rs.15600- 39100/- with the Grade Pay of Rs. 5400/- (initially). And it will
change according to various ranks.

Selection Procedure of YANTRIK AND NAVIK recruitment: there
are mainly two stages, which are
Short listing of Applications - qualifying examination.
Stage I –
Preliminary Selection- Preliminary exam will contain Mental
Ability Test/ Cognitive Aptitude Test and Picture Perception
& Discussion Test
(PP&DT). The aptitude test will be in English only and
will be objective type.
Stage II-
Final Selection – After qualifying preliminary test candidates
are able to attend the final selection exam. The date and venue for Final
Selection Board (FSB) will be uploaded on Indian Coast Guard website. The Final
Selection will contain
Psychological Test, Group Task and Interview (Personality
test).
Medical examination,
Merit List all are the part of final selection exam.
Medical Standards: it is based on the medical test of the
candidates regarding Height, Weight, Chest measurement and Eye Sight.
Height-
For Asst. Commandant (GD): Minimum 157 cms.
For Asst. Commandant (Pilot) and Asst. Commandant Commercial
Pilot License
(CPL) holders for Short Service Appointment (Men/Women) -
Minimum 162.5 cms, and leg length should be 99 cms.
Weight - Proportionate to the Height and Age, (+ -) 10 %
acceptable.
Chest - Well proportionate, minimum expansion 5 cms.
Eye Sight-
For Asst. Commandant (GD)-
6/6 6/9 - Uncorrected without
Glass.

6/6 - Corrected with Glass.
For Asst. Commandant
GD(Pilot) - 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in
other.

till the last date 22 march.
Candidates can choose any one venue for PSB out of the
options displayed.
