Janani shishu Suraksha yojana is one of the leading scheme which is administered by NRHM UP and this scheme is implement by medical health and family welfare department of up (Chikitsa Swasthya avam parivar Kalyan vibhag).  CMO of concerned district is head of managing this scheme.  Under this scheme state government / central government are providing are 1400 in rural areas and rs 1000 in urban area after the delivery of the baby in government hospital / public health centre PHC / CHC etc . This amount is given in form of check. cheque is directly given by the head of concerned Hospital at the time of discharge . Government provide all facility for delivery process free of cost in government hospital .  Important details of Mother child safety scheme of Up as are following

Brief description of this scheme : Under this scheme, after the delivery of the baby government will be provide rs 1400 in rural and rs 1000 in urban area for caring purpose of baby and mother . All delivery charge , medicine and other facility will be provide by the government free of cost. 

 Following five facility will be provide under this scheme

Free transportation for pregnant women for delivery / free ambulance service  : free ambulance service will pickup pregnant women from the home and it will also drop at the home of patient free of cost . You can also use 108 free ambulance service under this scheme.

Free diet and Meal for pregnant women as prescribe by the doctor: rs 100 will be provide by the government for the meal of pregnant women. Under the fooding scheme hospital will provide morning breakfast (Bread, Butter, fruits , Egg , Milk) , two time meal  . Approximately 3 day for normal delivery and 7 day for caesarian delivery, hospital will provide this facility /. If dr will suggest stay more days then hospital will provide free meal in extra days also

Free medical treatment, medicine and consumable etc : all medicine and consumable will be provide by the hospital free of cost .

Free all type test: maximum all necessary test will be done by the hospital free of cost like ultrasound, sonography etc . Following test will be done free of cost

RH / ABO test

DR / VDRL test

Hepatitis B test

HIV rapid diagnosis test etc

Blood , sugar, urine etc

Free blood facility.  blood transfusion will be free of cost.  Donation will be done by this family member if blood is not available in this hospital . 

Eligibility criteria : delivery of the baby must done in the government hospital .

Category: al category of the applicant are eligible for this scheme . There are no cast of income restriction for getting the benefit of this scheme. 

How to apply: applicant are require to fill application form in prescribe application form proforma which is available in government hospital at the time of delivery (prasav ) .

Application form is available free of cost  .
