Union public service commission published the official recruitment notification / examination Notice for inviting online application form for Indian Forest services. Application form for UPSC IFS vacancies will be filled online only. All eligible candidates can fill application form till the last date 22 February 2022. Eligibility Criteria: age Limit; 21 to 32 year as on 1 august 2022.
Education qualification: Graduation Degree with Animal Husbandry &
Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering
Selection procedure: selection of the eligible candidates will be based on through the written examination, Mains examination and personal interview test. Negative marking, Minus Marking will be applicable in this examination. All questions of the preliminary examination will be objective type and MCQ based.
Indian forest service examination will consist of two successive stages.
Preliminary Examination: first of all a preliminary examination will be held objective type and mcq based. Pre exam will comprise two question paper Which will carry maximum 400 marks for both paper . this examination will be held for screening purpose only .
The General Studies Paper‐II of the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination will be a qualifying paper with minimum qualifying marks fixed at 33%.
The question papers will be set both in Hindi and English.
All those candidates who will be declared qualified in the written examination they will be call for Mains examination.
MAIN EXAMINATION: A) The written examination consisting of the following papers: Paper
I General English 300 Marks
Paper II General Knowledge 300 Marks
Paper III Any two subjects to be 200 marks
Paper IV selected from the list of for each
Paper V the optional subjects set paper
Paper VI out in para 2 below.
Each subject will have two papers.

(iii) Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science

(vii) Civil Engineering
(viii) Forestry

(xiv) Zoology
Provided that the candidates will not be allowed to offer the following combination of subjects :
(a) Agriculture and Agricultural Engg.
(b) Agriculture and Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science.
(c) Agriculture and •Forestry.
(d) Chemistry and Chemical Engg.
(e) Mathematics and Statistics.
(f) Of the Engineering subjects viz. Agricultural Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering and
Mechanical Engineering‐ not more than one subject;
In the last all those candidates who will be declared qualified in the preliminary examination, mains examination they will be call for personal interview test. Personal
Interview test will be carry 300 marks.
No of attempt – maximum 6 , there are no restriction of attempt for sc, st .
How to apply : all eligible candidates can fill application form online at the official website of UPSC which is www.upsc.gov.in
Application form fee ; rs 100 , and there are no application form fee for SC, ST candidates .
Candidates are required to pay application form fee through challan for or by using net banking facility of SBI, State
Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/State Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/State Bank of Patiala/State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit card
