Office of Uttarakhand School Education Council, Ramnagar, and Nainital has issued notification of Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test UKTET I &II 2022. All those candidates who wish to apply for recruitment in teacher's posts in primary schools and other government schools in Uttarakhand will first have to pass the Teacher Eligibility Test of Uttarakhand. The Uttarakhand government will conduct separate teacher eligibility exam for primary and upper primary teachers. Separate eligibility examination will be conducted for the teachers of upper primary level.
Under section 23-1 of the Right to Free and Compulsory Education for Children Act, 2009, all the teachers who apply for state government, non-government aided, authorized accreditation, appointment of teachers in other primary and upper primary schools of the state It is mandatory to pass the Teacher Eligibility Test.
Any teacher passed the Teacher Eligibility Exam is allowed to teach in classes 1 to class 8.

Primary Level Paper 1- and Paper 2 for Upper Primary Level
- D.El.Ed. /BTC / B.ED

Note: B.ed Degree Holder only consider for Primary Level Teacher after qualifying NCTE Prescribed 6 months GNM Course.
Final year or students studying in 3rd semester or 4th semester of D.el.ed or BTC or B.ed can fill application form as a appearing candidates.
Students studying 1st or 2nd semester are not eligible for filling application Form.

State Teacher Eligibility Test is a two-tier examination. Candidates may join one exam or both exams at one time. Both levels of examinations will be conducted in different shifts on the same day. All questions in this examination will be of objective type. A total of 150 minutes will be given to answer the questions. On each paper, 150 questions will be asked about various topics. In addition to the question papers of the language, other question papers will be asked in both Hindi and English languages. The question paper pattern is given below for primary level paper 1 class 1 to class 5 teachers.

The language of the first language will be studying language. candidate has to select one language from Hindi and English. The candidate will have to select one of the Hindi English Sanskrit and Urdu languages which will be different from that of the language as a 2nd language.
Examination and assessment method
Only objective questions will be asked for the exam. The possible answers to each question will be given.
Negative markings are not applicable in this exam.
Minimum qualifying marks
It is mandatory for all the candidates to get at least 60% marks in order to pass the exam. Examination results will be released on the official website of the Council, from which all the candidates can print the letter. After declaring the result, the marks sheet of the examination are sent to all the candidates who have joined the examination.
- Minimum passing percentage for candidates of general category is 60%
- The minimum percentage for SC /Scheduled Tribes is 40%
- Other Backward Classes, freedom fighters, ex-servicemen - 50%
