There is no application fee for SC ST BSF Candidate and Ex Servicemen candidates.

Details of Education Qualification
Only 3 years Diploma in Electrical Engineering passed candidates are eligible to apply.
Age qualification details
Maximum age of applicant should not be more than 30 years. Age will be determined based on the last date of filing application form.
5 years Relaxation will be given to the SC ST candidates, 3 year For OBC category, and the 3 year Relaxation will be given to maximum Ex Serviceman candidates. 5 year Relaxation will be provided to the Central Government employee at the maximum age.

Details of selection process
First of all candidates will be called for written examination. The written test will be conducted at various examination centers across the country.

First question paper
Questions of the first question paper will be of objective type. In order to answer the questions of this examination, total candidates will be given 90 minutes time.

- General Engineering Electrical 50 Questions 50 points

Syllabus description
The syllabus of this examination is being given below.
Second Question Paper Details
Questions of second question paper will be of conventional type. A total of 2 hours will be given for answering the questions. Questions of this examination will be asked regarding General Engineering Electrical. A total of 12 questions will be asked in the examination, with a maximum score of 100.
The total number of questions will be 12 out of which only candidates will answer only 10 questions.
Details of Minimum Qualifying Details Points
It is compulsory for all the candidates to get minimum qualifying marks in the written examination.
- Minimum Qualifying for candidates of General / OBC category - 50%
- Minimum qualifying for SC ST Category - 45%
Second phase examination
Candidates who have passed all written examinations will be called for the second phase examination. Document Verification, Physical Test, Physical Exhibition Test will be tested under the second phase examination.
Admit cards for this examination will be sent separately by BSF.

- Run for Female – 800m In 5 Minutes
Long Jump
- Male -11 Ft in 3 chance
- Female – 8 Ft in 3 chance
High Jump
- Male -3 ½ Feet in 3 chance
- Female – 2 ½ Feet in 3 chance
Final stage examination
Candidates who pass the 2nd phase will be called for the final stage examination. Practical Test, Medical Examination Test will be taken under this examination.
Preparing Merit for Selection
The final merit for the selection of candidates will be done on the basis of the marks obtained in written examination.
