Orissa Subordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) has issued notification for recruitment of 219 Excise Constable Posts. All post are being recruited on contract basis. All eligible individuals can fill their applications online from the official website of Orissa Subordinate Service Selection Commission. The online application form is starting to be filled from October 12, 2018. The last date to fill the application form is 12 November 2018.

Name of the post - Excise Constable
Total No. of posts- 219
Description of salary- Selected candidates will be appointed on the scale of 5200 to 20200. The pay grade of Excise Constable is 1800.
Details of Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit- 21 years to 32 years.
Age will be determined on the basis of 1 January 2018.
Education qualification- Only high school passed candidates can apply for this post. Candidates should have good knowledge of Oriya language.
Selection Process - candidates will be selected on the basis of Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Measurement, Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Written Examination etc. Merit for selection will be prepared as follows.
- Physical Standard Measurement Test-3 marks
- Physical Efficiency Test-30 marks
- Education Achievement- 7 marks
- Written Examination - 60 marks
Total - 100 points
Details of Physical Standard Measurement Test - Candidates will test for Height, weight and chest measurement under this test. Details of which are given below.

Physical Efficiency Test
There is a total of 30 points for the physical Efficiency test. Under this test, the race, high jump, long jump will be tested.
- For Men All category – Run - 1.6 k m in 5 Minutes 10 marks
- High Jump 3 chance – 1.22 meter – 3 marks
- Broad jump – Qualifying Length – 4.50 meter, 6 marks
- Rope Climbing – 3 chance, 1st chance 6 marks
- Swimming – 40 meter in 8 Minutes
Education Achievement
Under this, marks will be given on the percentage of the marks obtained by the candidate in high school.
- Matriculation – 61% and above – 7 marks
Written exam
Only those candidates who have been declared passed in the examination of the earlier stages will be called in the written examination. The written test will be of type of objective. A total of 120 questions will be asked in this examination. Candidates will be given a total of 2 hours to answer the questions. All questions will be of objective type. Questions of this examination will be asked in the objective type. The question paper and selection of the recruitment exam is being given below.

Application fee details
Application fee for this recruitment is fixed at 100 rupees. SC ST category candidates are not required to submit any application fee.
