Office of the registrar general high court Karnataka has
published the official recruitment notification for the post of district judge.
Those candidates who have eligibility criteria for direct recruitment of
district judge Karnataka, now they can apply online at the official website of
high court of Karnataka. Application form is invited online for total 30 post
of district judge in which there are 23 posts of backlog vacancies and there
are 7 Post for fresh vacancies.

Eligibility criteria

Education qualification
applicant must be a holder of degree in law and must be
practicing as a advocate in the high Court or in subordinate Court on the last
date fixed for receipt of the application and
Must have practiced
for a period not less than seven year as on such date.
Age limit
Must not have attained the age of 48 year

Probation period
Selected candidates will be initially appointed on the
probation period or two year which will be extended for further years on the
satisfactory services.
Selection process
Selection and eligible candidates will be based on through
the preliminary examination mains examination followed by personal interview
test.
Preliminary examination question paper pattern and syllabus
detail
Preliminary examination of district judge vacancy of
Karnataka will be objective type and MCQ based. Total 90 minutes time duration
will be given for attempting the question paper. Pre examination will carry
maximum 100 marks. Questions will be asked from civil law, criminal law, and
general knowledge in which test of reasoning and mental aptitude will be also asked.
Mains examination
question paper pattern and syllabus
The competitive written examination for district judge mains
will be as are following
Written examination
of two papers each of 3 hour duration with 150 maximum marks for each paper one
is civil and another is criminal law.
It is compulsory for
all candidate to answer at least one of one of the paper in English language and
in so far as the other paper is concerned it is shall be optional for the candidate
to answer the same other in English or in Kannada.
Personal interview
test
The personal interview test will carry maximum 50 marks. The
candidate’s general knowledge and law qualification will be tested in this test.
Minimum qualifying cut off marks
Qualifying cut off marks of examination shall be 50 for the
candidate belonging to SC ST
and 60 marks for other candidates.
The minimum marks for
pass in each paper of the written examination carrying 150 marks shall be 50
marks in each paper for a candidate belonging to SC ST and 60 marks for other.

amount of rs 500 but in the case of candidates belonging to SC ST Category the
fee will be payable rs 250.
