The process of appointment of vacant posts of teachers in Allahabad Central University can be started soon. According to sources associated with the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), the matter is currently under consideration with the minister. Recently the Vice Chancellor of the AU University had also met Union Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on this matter. Although no decision has been made on this, but it is believed that a decision can be taken soon.
Let me tell you that due to the ongoing investigation against the vice-chancellor of Allahabad University UoA, the ministry had given instructions to stop the recruitment process till the completion of the investigation.
The recruitment process for the vacant 70 percent posts in the Central University has been completed.
Meanwhile, the work of filling up about 70 percent of the vacant posts of teachers in central universities has been completed. Till now recruitment orders have been issued for about 630 posts. Instructions have also been issued to issue orders for the remaining posts soon. There was a shortage of teachers in all 41 central universities of the country. after this, instructions were given to fill them fast.
The Ministry of Human Resource Development has instructed all those central universities to speed up the recruitment process, where the recruitment process has started, but its pace is very slow. Instructions have been given to about a dozen of such central universities. These include Central University of Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Odisha, Karnataka, Jharkhand, and Haryana including Delhi University, Jadavpur University and Indira Gandhi Trial University of Madhya Pradesh.
The government's activism to fill the vacant posts can also be gauged that the entire recruitment process is being reviewed every week at the ministerial level. Along with this, the universities which are facing problems at some level in them are also being resolved immediately. According to a senior official attached to the ministry, a target has been set to complete the recruitment of teachers in central universities within the stipulated time. The campaign to fill the vacant posts of teachers is going on at a time when about eight thousand posts are lying vacant. Of these, about 1400 posts of professor, around three 1000 posts of associate professor and more than 3000 posts of assistant professor are vacant. According to the report, the total number of sanctioned posts of teachers in 41 central universities of the country is about 18 thousand.
