Special Festival Package for State Government Employees
Additional Chief Secretary Government of Uttar Pradesh has issued a mandate regarding special festival package for the state government employees and providing advance facility for the same. This mandate has been issued on 16 October 2022. According to it, like the Ministry of Finance, Government of India, the State Government will also provide special festival package for its employees and the facility to allow advance payment for the same. Its main objective is that the employees can increase their expenses related to festivals in a slightly more good way. It is also the goal of this scheme to encourage spending, so that economic activities can be conducted smoothly. This scheme implemented by the Government of India will also be applied to the employees of the State Government.
Important points of this scheme are given below.
This facility will be valid for all the employees of the state government, and will be applicable till 31 March 2022.
Under this scheme, an advance special festival package of ₹ 10000 will be sanctioned by the office president to the concerned government employee before any important festival and it will be interest free.
The amount sanctioned as advance will be given to the concerned government employee through the State Bank of India through a preloaded rupee card which will be recovered in more than 10 installments.
On receipt of the application of the government employee by the office president, a preloaded RuPay card will be made available to the applicant from the State Bank of India.
A detailed procedure for obtaining the card for the office president and withdrawal officers will be determined separately.
Advance can be granted by the office president for all the festivals which have been included in the list of Public Restricted Holidays by the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
This order comes into force with immediate effect.
