Railway Recruitment Board RRB has released question paper and syllabus for upcoming NTPC recruitment exam. All such candidates who had applied for NTPC recruitment of Railways can improve their preparation by downloading the revised question paper pattern syllabus. The NTPC exam of RRB consists of 3 stages. We will try to give you detailed information about all the steps here.
Stage 1
First of all, Railway Recruitment Board conducts preliminary
examination for recruitment to various posts of NTPC. The preliminary exam has
a maximum of 100. In the examination, a total of 100 questions are asked from
Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness. All
questions are objective type. The maximum score of this examination is 100 and
maximum questions are also 100. Total time of 90 minutes is given for answering
the questions.
Negative marking
applies in this examination. 1 / 3rd marks are deducted for each wrong answer.
Minimum qualifying cut off marks
40% for general category candidates
30% for OBC candidates
30% for Scheduled Caste candidates
25% marks for other

Second stage
All such candidates
who are declared to have passed the preliminary examination will be call for the
second phase Mains Exam.
A total of 120
questions will be asked. Whose maximum marks will be 120. Exam questions will
be asked from Mathematics, General Intelligence and General Awareness. All the
questions will be objective type and MCQ based.
The number of questions for this exam is 120. A total of 90
minutes will be given to answer the questions. One third mark will be deducted
for each wrong answer.

Other Backward Classes - 30%
SC - 30%
ST - 25%

Third stage
All such candidates who are declared to have passed the
second stage examination will be held for the third phase. Phase III
examination will be computer based and this exam will be conducted only for
those candidates who have opted for Traffic Assistant and Station Master.
A total of 30% of the marks obtained in this examination
will also be added to the final selection.
Typing skills test
Typing test will
also be conducted for Senior Clerk cum Typist, Accountant, Clerk cum Typist, Senior
Time Pal, Junior Clerk cum Typist, Account Assistant cum Typist.
This examination will be of qualifying nature. The marks
obtained in typing test will not be added to the final merit list. A total of 8
times candidates will be called for typing relative to the total posts.
For typing, the minimum speed of the candidates should be 30 words per minute in English or 25 words per minute in Hindi.
