The Government of Odisha has started the Kalia scheme for the benefit of farmers. It is a state-level scheme to enrich the farmers. Kalia's full name is Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation. This scheme has been launched for prosperity in farming and reducing poverty in the state of Orissa. Who is eligible
for the Kalia scheme?
All small and
marginal farmers are eligible for this scheme. Together those who do not have
land, and all these farmers can apply under this scheme.
About 700,000
families will be given the benefit of this scheme.
All such farmers
who own 1–2 hectares of land are considered small farmers, and marginal farmers
who have less than 1 hectare of land are called farmers.
Benefits Under
the Scheme
₹ 25000 per farmer
family is given as financial assistance under the scheme. ₹ 25000 will be given
for 5 years. The main objective of this Kisan Yojana is that farmers can
purchase seeds, fertilizers, pesticides and many agricultural implements with
financial assistance.

How will you
know whether your name has been included in the beneficiary of Kalia scheme?
A draft list of
all the farmers' names was published in January . Apart from this, farmers
can get their names added in the second and third phase also. If your name is
not in this list, you can fill a green form and submit it to the PACS or GP
office.
