Food and Consumer Protection Department, Government of Bihar, has issued general notice dated 13.06.2021. According to which from date 13.06.2021 food grains will be distributed to the beneficiaries of two categories (Antyodaya families and priority) under the National Food Security Act as per the prescribed quantity and rate in the month of June, 2021.

Apart from this, 5 kg food grains (2 kg wheat and 3 kg rice) per beneficiary per month are being distributed free of cost in the month of June, 2021 under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana to all the beneficiaries covered by the National Food Security Act.
All the beneficiaries must get the food grains of both the schemes in the month of June, 2021.
Under portability, beneficiaries have the freedom to get food grains from any PDS shop at their convenience.
If free food grains are not given by any fair price vendor according to the above decision, then complain to the nearest sub-divisional officer or to the departmental toll free number-1800-3456-194 and 1967.
