About 60 lakh students get benefit of this scheme. Apart from SC ST students, this scheme is budget based for students of other categories. This is the reason why it has been decided to give preference to those students at the secondary level who take admission in government and aided schools. Generally, only children from low-income families take admission in these schools. This will ensure that 100% poor children get the benefit of the scheme. According to sources in the Social Welfare Department SWD, an official order will be issued soon. In view of Corona crisis. This time it is being considered not to implement Aadhaar based attendance. Because on implementing this system, it will be necessary for the students to be physically present in the educational institutions. Whereas in view of the corona infection, instructions are being given from time to time by the government to conduct online classes only. Officials of the Social Welfare Department say that if necessary, the matter will also be discussed with the Central Government.

It is being considered not to implement the Aadhaar based attendance system at the higher level this time. Information about the education of parents will also have to be given.

From the session 2022-23, information about the education of parents will also be taken from the students of all classes in the online application.
