With the objective of ensuring pure drinking water supply through piped drinking water schemes in the rural areas of the state, implementation of "Jal Jeevan Mission" is being done by the state government. This scheme is being operated by Namami Gange and Rural Water Supply Department. State and district level posts have been created under the department for the formation of a structure at the Namami Gange and Rural Water Supply Directorate and at the district level.
