Qualification Details
Educational Qualification:-
Must have a Bachelor of Laws degree from a recognized university.
Preferential Qualification - Other things being equal, preference shall be given in the case of direct recruitment to a candidate who has:-
(a) has served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years, or
(b) Possess 'B' certificate of National Cadet Corps.
Age:- Age limit is fixed minimum 21 to maximum 42 years.
The crucial date for calculation of age is July 01,
Candidate's age should be minimum 21 years as on July 01 and
The maximum should not be more than 42 years.
That is, the candidate should not be born after July 01, 2000 and not earlier than July 02, 1979.

Selection Procedure
A general exam in case the screening/preliminary examination is to be conducted.
The question paper will be of objective nature and negative method will be adopted in the evaluation of questions.
Intimation about the date of Screening Test/Main (Written) Examination/Interview Test will come in due course. will be broadcast on the website of UKPSC.
Screening / Preliminary Examination (Objective Type) Exam Center
Haldwani (Nainital) of Uttarakhand State, Haridwar, Dehradun, Srinagar (Pauri Garhwal), Almade and Udham Singh Nagar District
Candidates In case the number is less, it will be held in different examination centers of Haridwar only.
Negative marking
Penalty for wrong answers - Wrong answers given by candidates in objective type papers Penalty (negative evaluation) will be given for .

For wrong answer, one-fourth of the marks assigned to the respective question will be deducted as penalty.
