Minority Welfare Department Bihar has released the notification for the scholarship. The online application for the scholarship 2022-23 has been done by the Government of Bihar. Applications are invited by the Government of Bihar for pre-matric, post-matric and merit-cum-means based scholarships.
Ministry of Minority Affairs (MoMA), Government of India provides Three Scholarship Schemes i.e. Pre-Matric, for the year 2022-23. Post-Matric and Merit cum Means based scholarship has been released. Under which six minority communities notified by the Government of India have been declared eligible to take advantage of scholarships. These communities are: Jain, Buddhist, Sikh, Parsi, Muslim, Christian.

Eligibility Criteria
Students belonging to these communities are provided with the opportunity to apply for scholarships.

Education and Other Criteria
Applicant should be a student of notified minority communities (Jain, Buddhist, Sikh, Parsi, Muslim, Christian).
He/she is studying in Government or Private Universities/Institutions/Colleges/Schools in India
The course being studied should be of minimum one year duration.
The applicant must have secured 50% marks in the last annual board/class examination.
How to Apply : for the applicant
Applicants are advised to visit National Scholarship Portal website www.scholarships.gov.in (link of this site is also available on www.minorityaffairs.gov.in)
You can apply online for one of the scholarship schemes on the mobile app National Scholarships (NSP).
Detailed instructions and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for filling the online application are available on the home page of the National Scholarship Portal.
The applicant is advised to provide only those bank account details which are in active mode or as per instructions of the bank so that payment of scholarship is not failed.
Before filling the online application, the applicant should enter his Aadhar card number or in case of non-availability of Aadhar card, the Enrollment ID (Acknowledgment number) provided at the time of making Aadhar card in the application.
Applicants are suggested to establish contact with the nodal officer of their institute and take action in the direction of timely forwarding the respective list of verified applications under Merit cum Mines Scholarship by the head of the institute.
For Universities / Institutions / Colleges / Schools All Universities / Institutions / Colleges / Schools where minority student / student is studying should get themselves registered (if not registered earlier) on National Scholarship Portal from time to time.
The Nodal Officers of all the Universities/Institutions/Colleges are directed that the list of verified applications of their Institute for Merit cum Mines Scholarship, will be forwarded by the Head of the Institute to the Minority Welfare Department, Bihar, Patna for further action from time to time.
