Chief Minister Extremely Backward Class Merit Scheme

"Chief Minister Extremely Backward Classes Meritorious Scheme" has been started by the State Government from the financial year 2008-09 with the objective of increasing awareness about education to the students of the most backward classes and encouraging them towards higher education.

 Under this scheme, a lump sum amount of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand) is provided to the students of extremely backward classes who have passed the first class annual secondary examination conducted by the Bihar School Examination Committee, Patna.
