Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched PM Kisan Action Scheme, under which applicants will get around ₹ 11000 as subsidy. The central government is planning to give ₹ 5000 as fertilizer subsidy along with the Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme for the farmers. In addition, 6000 will be given as fertilizer subsidy under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. So a total of about ₹ 11000 will be given in two installments.

What is Pradhan Mantri Kisan Khad Fertilizer Scheme?
This scheme is being operated by the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India. In this, money is sent to the farmers in the form of subsidy on purchasing fertilizers, so that farmers do not need much money to buy fertilizers, because they get the benefit directly in the form of DBT.
The biggest advantage of this scheme is that the money reaches the farmers directly and not with the fertilizer companies.
Amount to be received under PM Kisan Khad Yojana
Under the scheme ₹ 5000 will be received as farmer subsidy as the first installment, out of which ₹ 2500 is given before the start of Kharif crop and the second crop before the start of Rabi crop.

DBT requires that your bank account should be linked with Aadhaar, otherwise DBT money will not be able to be sent to your account.

SMS to Buyers: -
The Department of Fertilizers (DoF) has implementation Short Message Services (SMS) to farmers for the sale of fertilizers to farmers in the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) project. Buyer will receive a receipt on his mobile through SMS on every purchase of fertilizers. Department of Fertilizers (DoF) has introduced SMS system on 30th September 2020 in PoS 3.1 version.
The SMS contains the details viz. Invoice no., retailer name quantity purchased, total amount to be paid and the subsidy borne by the Govt. of India. etc.
SMS module will be used to send periodic SMS to farmer about availability of fertilizer at retail outlet from where he purchased fertilizer last.
Farmer can get information about availability of fertilizer at any retail outlet by sending SMS to +917738299899 (by sending retailer id).
