Uttar Pradesh Government Justice Section-3 has issued a release dated October 26, 2021, inviting advertisements for recruitment to the posts of notaries.
Under the Notary Act, eligible applications are invited for the vacant posts of notaries in all the districts / tehsils of Uttar Pradesh according to the following table.
Applications are invited on the prescribed format from legal practitioners/advocates having qualifications for the prescribed appointment.

Qualifications for appointment as Notary.
any person shall be eligible for appointment as a notary, when the person has been in the practice of law for a minimum period of 10 years on the date of application for such appointment, or
Persons belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes who have practiced law for a minimum period of seven years, or
(a) a woman who has practiced law as a legal practitioner for a minimum period of seven years
Or
Having a benchmark disability as defined in clause (d) of section 2 of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 (49 of 2016) •
Any person who has been in practice as a legal practitioner for at least seven years.
Or
has been a member of the Indian Legal Service under the Central Government,for at least ten years
Or
(i) has been a member of the judicial service, or
(ii) has held a post under the Central Government or a State Government having special knowledge of law after enrollment as an advocate,
Or
(iii) the Judge should have held a post in the Advocate General's Department or in the Legal Department of the Armed Forces.

Will be accepted through registered post/speed post from the office of Government, Bahukhandi Bhawan, Secretariat, Lucknow on ......... till 5.00 PM.
Eligible applicants Information regarding the last time and place for the interview called at Secretariat, Lucknow will be sent on the e-mail id of the applicant mentioned in the application form. But will be given.
