Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, poor families are provided free housing in rural areas. The beneficiaries will be collected at the gram panchayat level and will be informed about the scheme. The selection of beneficiaries according to their eligibility and allotment of houses is being done in the order of priority, so no beneficiary is required to give any amount to the village head or any government employee.
If someone demands illegal money, then you can directly call your District Magistrate and complain.
The names of the beneficiaries will be read out by the Village Development Officers, Gram Panchayat Adhikari. After this the signature of the beneficiary will be done. A copy of the action of the signature will be deposited in the development block.
