Recently, the Central Government has made the process of nomination mandatory in the PF account. This means that all EPF accounts must have a nominee. It is necessary to have a nominee because if there is no nominee in it, then the account holder who is there, if he dies, then this money has to face a lot of difficulties in taking the nominee, so if the nomination will remain in the account then the subscriber's family The people will get the money very easily.
Therefore, all EPF account holders are advised to update their nominees. Earlier the process of changing the nominee was very lengthy and it could be completed only through the employer, but now EPFO can change through the UAN portal.
We will show you how you can change your nominee
1. First of all log on to the EPFO website epfindia.gov.in.
2. In the 'Services' tab, click on the 'For Employees' tab.
3. Now log in with your UAN.
4. In the 'Manage' tab, select 'e-Nomination'.
5. Save Permanent and Current Address.
6. To change your family declaration, select 'Yes'.
7. Enter the details of the nominee and click on save.
8. Now click on the e-Sign icon to proceed.
9. Enter your Aadhaar number and enter the OTP received on the registered mobile number.
10. After completing this process, now your nomination will be updated.
