A memorandum has been lodged to the Chief Minister through the Director General for cashless medical facility to the Basic Education employees. National Educational Federation, in its letter to the Hon'ble Chief Minister, Government of Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, has made a demand regarding the implementation of 'cashless medical facility' applicable to the state employees for the teachers of Basic Education, Primary School /Upper primary Schoolof Uttar Pradesh as well.
For the past many years, teachers are facing serious complications due to accidents and health related problems. Keeping these problems of teachers in mind, the National Educational Federation has demanded the implementation of cashless medical facility for all the teachers of Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Department from the Uttar Pradesh government. But in the decision taken in the meeting of Uttar Pradesh cabinet dated 31/12/2021, only state employees and pensioners have been given the benefit of this facility. Teachers working under Basic Education Council, PS /UPS Uttar Pradesh have been deprived of this benefit. Therefore, the organization demands from you that like the state employees and pensioners, the teachers working under Basic Education Council, Uttar Pradesh should also be covered with cashless medical facility.
Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay State Employees Cashless Medical Scheme will be implemented in the state. With this, along with the district hospital, now the employees in medical institutions and medical colleges will also get free treatment. Similarly, in the identified private hospitals, you will be able to get treatment up to five lakhs on the lines of Ayushman. This will benefit about 14 lakh employees and 16 lakh pensioners. It has been approved by the cabinet late Friday evening.
