Add Name in Birth Certificate Online Correction, New Registration of Janam Praman Patra

  Till a few years ago, the birth certificate was made only from the website of the Municipal Corporation. You could also print from the website of the Municipal Corporation itself, but at present this work is done online from the website of CRS. Both the birth and death certificates are issued from the website of CRS. If your baby is born in the hospital then you do not need to worry, you can get your child's birth certificate very easily.

If your child is born at home then you have to apply online by visiting CRS.org website within 21 days.

After that your birth certificate will be issued.

After that a birth and death registration website will open in front of you.

This is the official Website of Office of the Registrar General and Census Commissioner of India.

Your birth certificate is issued from this website.

The death certificate is issued only from this website.

You can apply online from here.


To apply online, first you have to go to General Public Signup Group.

After that the relevant details will open there and you can register yourself.

You will need username, email id and mobile number to register.

Along with this, you also have to enter the date of birth or death here.

After that you will enter your state name, district name, sub district name of tehsil and then your locality name and village or city name and fill the captcha code and register.


After that print option will come and you will print this document.


After that you have to take this document and submit it to the concerned Municipal Corporation or Gram Panchayat Officer.

 In the city this work is done in the office of the Municipal Corporation. So you have to submit the printout to your nearest Municipal Corporation office.

 After that your form will be verified, after which your birth certificate will be issued.


Along with this, if your residence is in the village, then you will give this printout to the Gram Panchayat Officer.

The Gram Panchayat Officer will verify this printout and after that it will be issued online.

You will also get the print online.

You can also take the print from the office of the Gram Panchayat and also get it from the place where you submitted the form.

Required date of birth or death

When a birth/death occurs in the hospital, the hospital directly sends it online. But if these incidents happen in your house. So you have to register yourself. And it has to be kept in mind that within 21 days you will be given this registration facility.


Other important points

If it is more than 21 days of birth, then you will not be able to register online.

 The forms are filled area wise i.e. from where the child would have been born, the birth certificate would be issued.

You can register only once on one login ID.

Create user-id correctly while registering otherwise you will not be able to print your form online.

You can submit this printout to your Municipal Corporation office without any problem.

You will have to submit this form by hand only in the office of the concerned municipal body or village panchayat.


How to check the status of application of birth certificate

As soon as the certificate is generated, you will be given a confirmation email id. After that you can check your birth certificate online.

You can also check the status of your birth and death certificates online.

2. What type of documents needs to be uploaded in case of birth taken place at hospital?

Ans: The institutional (hospital) events cannot be reported by the family members/CSC, it is duty of the in-charge of the institution to report such events to concerned registrar. 


If it has been more than 21 days then how will the birth certificate of the child be made.
If it has been more than 21 days since the birth of the child, then you cannot fill the online form, rather you will have to apply by going to the concerned registrar office, from where you will be issued a birth certificate.
If the delay is more than 21 days and less than 30 days then you have to fill the form on a prescribed proforma, and deposit a certain late fee. After that your birth certificate will be issued and if the delay is more then you may also have to give an affidavit.

The name of the child is not known in the hospital, in such a situation, the hospital registers the child on the CRS by entering the baby's mother's name. After this, when the birth certificate of the child is issued, it will be called Baby Off. , , , , , In such a situation, we can change the name of our child in two ways.
There is no option to apply online for this. For this, you have to go to the concerned Municipal Corporation or Municipal Body / Gram Panchayat Officer.
 There a form is available for amendment, you have to fill it and submit it.
After the verification of the concerned officer, your birth certificate will be issued in your revised name. But this work is done by the Gram Panchayat Officer in the village and by the Municipal Corporation in the city.
The work of amendment is not being done online yet, so whenever you want to change the name in your birth certificate, or want to add the name, then you have to go to the municipal or village panchayat office.
