Brief Details About Gobar Dhan Yojana
Gobar Dhan Yojana is being run under the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation Ministry of Jal Shakti Government of India under Swachh Bharat Mission. Under this scheme, animal dung, excreta is recycled in a very clean manner. It has been launched under the rural phase two of the Swachh Bharat Mission. Under this, the biodegradable waste of animals is managed. Along with this, biodegradable faecal urine of animals is also used to obtain gas and energy along with clean water.
This is being done under a mass movement. The Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation is providing technical assistance in this at the district level.
Under this, Rs 5000000 is going on the basis of per district.
Work to be done under Gobar Dhan Yojana
Under this scheme, there is a plan to clean the village by managing livestock and agricultural residues.
The income of farmers is also increasing from organic waste.
Under this scheme, assistance is being provided by the government in the village to make biogas and organic manure from animal feces.
Under this scheme the damage to the environment can also be saved.
By managing the sewage well, all the villagers, farmers, will generate gas and organic manure from the animal excreta and can double their income by selling it.
Under this scheme, animal dung is processed by taking it to the plant and it is obtained gas and food is cooked from that gas. Together, the residue left after that is made organic manure, it is used in the fields and organic farming is done from it.
Better profit than
The bureaucracy of the state took more than two years to implement the much publicized Govardhan Yojana of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the state. Not only this, its implementation has been limited to a pilot project. In the first phase, this scheme will be implemented in Lucknow, Varanasi and Lalitpur districts only.
Sources of funding for Biogas/CBG plants
Bank loans under Priority Sector Lending(PSL) -Loans to entrepreneurs for setting up Compressed Bio Gas (CBG) plants
Ministry of New and Renewable Energy- Waste to Energy - Central Finance Assistance (CFA) of Rs. 1 cr for
12,000 cum of biogas generation/ day
(ii) Central Finance Assistance of Rs. 4 cr per 4800 Kg CBG generation/ Day
Ministry of New and Renewable Energy - NNBOMP -Central Subsidy Rate of Rs. 7,500 to Rs 35,000 for individual HH biogas plants with capacity 1-25 cum.
Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen) - 50 Lakhs per district for community/cluster
Projects
How Gobargas Plant will be established
Under this, community, group and individual biogas plants will be set up as per the need and demand to reduce the dependence on conventional fuels for cooking.
Efforts are being made to set up 20 to 25 mass biogas plants in at least one cowshed and between 5 and 10 households in each district due to the closure of schools during the COVID-19 pandemic
